This short animation was created to show on a football field "jumbotron" screen throughout the game. I used Adobe Illustrator and After Effects to create this animation from the identity created by DOXA, a design firm in Fayetteville, AR.
The SIMU conference at the University of Arkansas addressed "the challenges and opportunities for higher education that are provided by increasing numbers of so-called 'millennial students.' These students come to the university with extensive experience in digital gaming, including video games, computer-based role playing games, and massive multiplayer on-line games." The Galaga arcade game was used heavily as inspiration for this gaming-themed conference.
The animation used After Effects, Carrara Pro 6 and a shameless use of GarageBand loops.
The "Raw Sewage" digital video projection piece demonstrates my concern for how women (and all humans) are increasingly viewed only as sexual objects, due to the accessibility of damaging and degrading material available on the Web. The piece displays an anonymous Web surfer typing in pornographic Web addresses and then viewing the content. The "dirty" content is, however, comprised of video footage of raw sewage and is set to an "adult movie-style" soundtrack. The gallery visitor was welcome to walk under the projection to get a feel of being coated in the effects of viewing emotionally and spiritually damaging material, symbolic of that which is accessible with unrestricted access by today's impressionable youth in their formative years.
This piece is a motion exploration of some of my writing, inspired by an antlion (I think) insect in my studio. I used Carrara Pro 6 and After Effects. The music is provided by Moby Gratis.
This is the intro/title for the Bridge to War Eagle documentary film by Larry Foley and Dale Carpenter. For this I used Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects.
This is the map animation for the Bridge to War Eagle documentary film by Larry Foley and Dale Carpenter. For this I used Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects.
I created this promotional video for the SFC Fluidics company in Fayetteville, AR, for use at the PittConn conference and for use on their web site. For this I shot HD Video, edited in Final Cut Pro and used other Adobe products.
